Apex Harmony Lodge is an existing dementia home in Pasir Ris. The project aims to counter the stigma against dementia by creating a cultural hub that encourages safe social interaction between the public and patients.
This multi storey carpark, located at Sembawang, has been redesigned as a roof garden that takes inspiration from neo-vernacular architecture to evoke a sense of nostalgia amongst the older residents while also allowing the younger generation to learn about Sembawang's rich kampong history.
The project concept started after studying the positive impacts of biophilia in an office environment. This project aims to create a productive working space using brutalist style and greenery to allow the users to experience working in a more natural environment while maintaining the aesthetics of a modern office.
